L. line wetter Discussion starter. 136 posts · Joined 2005. #1 · Jan 10, 2007. Last week there were several reposts of perch in the canals. This created a lot excitement, myself included, about getting out and and doing some fishing. Since then, I haven't seen a single report.

They were most likley longnose gar, Lepisosteus osseus. Ive been fishing metro for years, and the only species of gar ive seen back there are the longnose.
